![]() It starts with the lock screen, which sports a new light gray background that integrates with the default iOS 7 keyboard, which appears to be part of the user interface rather than an external interface element – it’s a minor touch, but it has been nicely implemented. 1Password 4.5, available today on the App Store, brings a complete redesign for iOS 7 and several other changes and feature additions that make 1Password officially optimized for the modern OS, further narrowing the gap between the mobile and desktop versions.ġPassword 4.5 doesn’t deeply reimagine the way 1Password works, but every aspect of the app has received a facelift that needed AgileBits to reconsider each screen and menu with a refreshed design language that feels at home on iOS 7. I have yet to experience the Ah Ha! moment where everything makes perfect sense, so I am still working at it.1Password 4 for iOS, first released in December 2012, was a major update to AgileBits’ popular password manager that introduced a new design, a powerful built-in browser to manage logins inside the app, and a variety of other features that were later ported to and expanded on OS X with 1Password 4 for Mac. ![]() I have recently been trying to fully grok how iCloud works and I admit that it has been something of a struggle. I think that if you don't have the optional iCloud "optimization" enabled and you have sufficient storage on your Mac, you should have a copy of your Vault on your Mac. But I still want to have physical control over my data.Įarlier I asked what happens if your Internet is down and you need to access the data but I haven't received an answer yet.Ĭorrect me if I am wrong. ![]() Hopefully 1Password stores customer data on multiple servers at different geographic locations for better data security. I consider a local vault to be a "backup" of the Cloud vault. Thanks.īeyond the ability to sync your data among all of your devices, I do not see an advantage of not having a local copy of your vault. Ps what is the advantage of my vault being in the cloud? If i sync with iCloud then the vault is in the cloud. I am a dedicated folder user I've never adopted the use of tags. I need to learn more about that lack of folder support. If sensitive data is being synced, the service should offer encryption and MFA for account access. Cloud-based syncing services vary in their support for MFA and encryption. I currently do not sync my 1Password data. I would accept nothing less when storing password manager data on a server.ĭropbox is designed for syncing it is not a backup service. While I prefer Time-Based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for my online accounts, I don't need it when encrypted data resides on my Mac. No local backups, IIRC.ġPassword subscription lost the support of Folders and instead relies on Tags. I just had a thought: If the vault is only in the Cloud, what happens when your Internet connection is down and you need to access?ġPassword Standalone with Dropbox doesn't support the TOTP/MFA features that 1Password Membership supports if I recall correctly, Subscription has a backup to their own cloud. Hard to switch to anything else (back to local vaults and lose functionality), It is still sad to see local vaults go.ĭon't you get the most important functionality syncing 1Password via Dropbox or iCloud? The other stuff isn't really necessary to me. I imagine that I will learn more here in this thread.īecause 1Password 6 and 7 accepted both local vaults and subscription, I was using both for some time. I am going to consider my options but since I have over 561 items stored in my local vault, switching to another password manager may be difficult, if not impossible. I haven't kept up with all of 1Password's competitors but I know that some have also switched to the subscription model. I have upgraded only when I had to and I've saved a lot of money compared to the subscription option. Since 1Password is mature tech we are unlikely to see much in the way of new features or improvements in service. No wonder: With a customer base of over 15 million, subscriptions result in a huge positive cash-flow for the company. 1Password support has been rather antagonistic toward customers who have stuck with classic licenses.

We know that survival games require a huge time commitment, and we don’t intend to waste yours. While we can’t stop this list from being mainly subjective, we can put some rules in place to make sure that all of our choices are of the utmost quality. So without further delay, join us as we run down our favorite indie survival games in this comprehensive best indie survival game guide! Selection Criteria:īefore we get into the nitty-gritty of this list, we reckon it would probably be best if we offer some criteria to help you understand exactly why we have picked the survival titles that we have. Meaning that the next time you have a hankering for adventure, you can simply peruse this list and get lost in a new survival world. So with that in mind, we wanted to take a look at some of the best indie survival games on the market, weighing up all the options so that you don’t have to. We have seen some mainstream games that have tried to offer a big-budget version of this core experience however, it has always been the breakout indie titles that have broken the mold and pushed the genre forward. Survival games are dedicated to the survival aspect of these games, stripping the player of all useful resources, placing them in a hostile environment, and then asking them to gradually work their way through a vague storyline and conquer all that they survey. Not to be confused with survival horror that has been around for decades through franchises like Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Fatal Frame, to name a few. Each generation of gaming brings with it a new and interesting brand of titles, and one of the most recent breakout indie genres has been survival gaming. Then more recently, there have been innumerable games in mainstream and indie gaming that have offered vast open worlds to explore. In the 2000’s we were inundated with platformers with budding anthropomorphic mascots, then the early 2010s were dominated largely by dark 2D side scrollers like Limbo and Braid and Walking Simulators like Journey. Every era of gaming has one or two genres that burst out of nowhere and take the gaming industry by storm, and most of the time, it’s the indie games or the era that lead the charge. ![]() CLICK HERE to download the CURRENT Wheel Of Life template HERE ![]() Using a pre-drawn diagram, such as the one below, a number is circled (or filled in) next to the appropriate dimension. Different fracture patterns in geological structures are illustrated in Fig. ![]() As there are various kinds of fractures in the natural rock mass of the aforementioned projects, new fractures and faults will come about in the initial excavation and drilling process. There are many areas, such as disposal of high-level radioactive waste, geothermal exploitation engineering, heavy oil exploitation engineering, and so on, all of which are associated with the coupling of water and heat in fractured rock mass and their overall construction. The direction of the flowing water and transferring heat of the fracture exerts a dominant effect on the temperature of the rock mass than the length.Īt present, the coupling of water and heat in fractured rock mass is a hot research topic of domestic and international scholars. ![]() The findings indicate that: When the model goes into a stable state under four working conditions, the rock on the x = 0–2 m mostly forms a heat transfer path from left to right the x = 2–4 m primarily forms a heat transfer path from bottom to top, and the temperature gradient reveals that the isotherm of 40–45 ☌ is highly similar to the shape of four different fractures, indicating that flowing water and transferring heat in the fracture configuration dominate the temperature field of the right side rock mass. Based on the conceptive model of flowing water and transferring heat in curved fractured rock mass, the influence of flowing water and transferring heat in “I”, “L”,, and shaped fractures on the temperature field of rock mass is calculated by using discrete element program. Compared with straight fracture flowing water and transferring heat, there are few relevant literatures about the heat transfer of curved fracture water flow. Before that, IE2 beta was released in October, just a few months after the session. Subsequent IE development was fairly rapid, as Internet Explorer 2 was released on November 22, 1995. This is also when Microsoft started to bundle IE software with Windows NT. Soon after, Internet Explorer 1.5 was released, which added support for displaying tables. Once the software is available, many people will not want to look to other software. One of the oldest red paints used by construction workers is definitely red. Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Lancia and Maserati all used this color, which was adopted in honor of Prince Scipione Borghese who won the race from Peking to Paris in 1907 in – red colored Ferrari. Apparently, this is not enough because the manufacturers decided to associate a specific color for racing cars coming from Italy. The color red is strongly related to several brands in automobile industry and Ferrari is among most popular ones. You’ll soon see how is this color popular among car makers and in traffic in general. Please be aware red color was not allowed for regular people in many cultures. There is a whole family of red shades named after cardinals (we have actually already seen some of them), who were among first who wore gowns of such colors. Being among royalties and other authorities, let’s look at church dignitaries too. In the case you don’t know BS stands forBritish Standard. Considering numerous factors affecting the tone of final dye, it should be not surprising if we find several relatively different shades with the same name – Chinese Red – in our case displayed only with one example. The most known color in next group is probably Chinese Red, originally made from powdered cinnabar and from 8th (!) century from a synthesis of mercury and sulfur. Similar stories are explaining the name of Persian reds in the next set of red colors. Thanks to that fact and overall importance of Spanish traders we have colors named after this country. Several of that pigments came to Europe after Spain conquered Mexico and introduced kermes insects to the dye market. We have already mentioned insects, by which carmine and crimson colors got their names. It was also named Vermont maple syrup in a special limited edition. Crayola produces this color from 1958, but in 1999 after a suggestion of worrying parents believing this name suggest the color of the skin of American Indians, changed the name into Maroon, so you’ll find this very same color in the boxes with color pencils with this name. Let’s have a few words abut Indian Red (again – called after the color of the soil in India). #E60026Red (G&S … Rosa Gallego & Juan Carlos Sanz) If at certain moments computers displayed only 16 different colors, today’s graphic cards show more than four million colors and they would produce even more, but the human eye can hardly recognize an even small portion of them. And there was, of course, nonstop progress in technology. Then there were different interests (and powers) of groups who tried to establish the standards. ![]() First of all, we are dealing with word meanings, which can be similarly subjective like the perception of colors. These attempts were only partly successful. There were several attempts to make a list of colors where everybody understands what color is associated with each specific name. Unfortunately, these names rely too much on personal preferences and lack of absolute values, what could help to standardize a perception of a specific color in all its shades, tones, tints etc. The red color is so old, in some of the languages (like Latin) the word for ‘colored’ and ‘red’ is actually the same. Color red, after all, is the most intense color and actually the oldest in all known languages (right behind black and white, which are, technically speaking not real colors). If you find this list useful, please share it with your friends, readers of your blog or any other people who may find it interesting. Our basic aim is to provide a fast comparison between red colors for a wide variety of users, being artists, designers or just curious minds. Please note, in spite of careful checking of dozens of resources there may still be some discrepancies between this list (most complete in the WEB at the moment with 445 named red colors and still rising) and other respectful sites, dealing with colors and design. They are organized by logical groups, depending on their similarities, name origins, or other common characteristics. ![]() Here is the longest list of red colors of different shades, tones and tints in the world, all with their official / common / trivial names and HEX codes. ![]() Testing this setting directly against not using this setting showed that the setting gave a fairly big performance bump. We have used a program called tinker tools to activate a setting that keeps all the cores fully powered up at all times. PT CPU 1.jpg PT CPU 2 Heat.jpg PT CPU 3.jpg In one isolated instance the CPU did jump to 100 degrees which would of course initiate throttling (See second pic). There was no heat bump before this moment and no difference in pro tools, or other programs that would warrant the cpu to drop. We used Intel Power Gadget to get a better idea of what was going on and during our CPU spikes the processor speed jumped down by about 1ghz for no reason. At 128 samples, cores 1 and 12 seem to be used slightly more, but still do not fully engage, although this curve seems to be much more normal and less worrisome (see second image). We believe this to be the core of all our issues but cannot think of any way to engage these cores. PT will not use cores 1, 11 or 12 whatsoever (see image below). Our main and most easily noticeable problem is that PT is not using all of our cores once input monitoring is enabled. Since I have not come to any meaningful conclusions from our testing I will simply list some observations below and hopefully somebody may have some ideas of possible fixes or improvements to our current situation. Given the power bump of the i9 processor this task should be easily doable. Our MBP 2013 could handle 128 samples easily and was super close to running 64 samples, but there was occasional drop outs which we cannot have in a live environment. Our current goal is to run the live session at 64 samples. I have also batch removed plug-ins from the folder to ensure we do not have any compatibility issues. We also have a third party fan control program that is kicking in the fans sooner, and letting them run at full potential as noise isn’t an issue for us. We use two UAD Apollo 8ps connected to each other via Thunderbolt 2 and to our new MBP through Apple’s TB3 converter.ġ5” MBP 2018 i9 with 32gb of ram, and AMD graphicsīefore we get the obvious replies I would like to mention that we are using the latest drivers and console application for the UADs, and have already installed the hotfix to correct thermal issues on the new MBP. To give a bit of background we are using Pro Tools as a live mixer with a professional gigging band that plays mostly corporate events and weddings. When comparing directly to our MBP 2013 performance is far less stable within pro tools, to the point it is almost unusable. I apologize for the small novel I am about to write but we are currently troubleshooting worrisome performance on the new 15” Macbook Pro 2018 i9 with 32gb of ram. ![]() ![]() While there are tons of Power Moons scattered across the world of Super Mario Odyssey, some are required to progress the main story.
